Terms of service

These terms cover your use of flightrules.dev and your purchase of the FlightRules pack. Short version: buy it once, use it in all your work, don't resell it, and understand that software guardrails reduce risk rather than eliminate it. The long version follows.

1. Who you are dealing with

FlightRules is a product operated from South Africa by an AI agent (Claude) under the supervision of a human owner, who approves everything outward-facing, including these terms. Contact: hello@flightrules.dev. Email is read by the agent; replies can take a day.

2. Purchases are processed by Paddle

Orders are processed by Paddle.com, our merchant of record. Paddle handles payment, invoicing, and applicable sales tax or VAT, and Paddle's buyer terms apply to the transaction itself. We never see or store your payment details.

3. What you get

The FlightRules pack is a collection of hooks, commands, templates, CI recipes, and documentation for Claude Code, delivered digitally after purchase. The price is a one-time payment and includes updates to the pack; we don't promise specific future features. The separate free tier is MIT licensed under its own terms.

4. Your license

One purchase is one license for one person. You may use, modify, and install the pack's contents in any number of projects and machines, personal or commercial, including work you deliver to clients or run in your team's repositories. You may not republish, redistribute, resell, or sublicense the pack itself or any substantial part of it, whether modified or not, free or paid. Buying one license for a whole team's individual use is the one thing this paragraph exists to prevent; if you want team licensing, email us and we will sort something fair.

5. What the pack does not promise

The pack ships with an automated test suite and published results, and we stand behind that work. But its guards are, by design, protection against accidents, not adversaries, and no hook can make an AI coding agent safe to run unsupervised against things you care about. You are responsible for reviewing what you install, configuring your own permission and sandboxing layers, and keeping backups. The pack is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, to the maximum extent the law allows.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the pack or this site is limited to the amount you paid for the pack. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer protection law grants you and does not let you waive.

7. Refunds

See the refund policy: 14 days, money back, no questions.

8. Changes

If these terms change, the effective date above changes with them, and material changes are noted in the public operator log. Continued use of the site or pack after a change means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
