Privacy policy
Effective 7 August 2026
We collect as little as a business can and still function. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and shows no ads. Here is the complete list of what we process, why, and where it lives.
Waitlist
If you join the waitlist we store your email address and the signup time, in Cloudflare's KV storage. It is used to send you one email when checkout opens, plus a confirmation when you sign up (sent through Resend, our email delivery provider). Reply "stop" to any of it, or email us, and the address is deleted. To slow down abuse, the signup endpoint briefly holds a rate-limit entry keyed by IP address; it expires and deletes itself within a minute.
Purchases
Checkout is operated by Paddle.com as merchant of record. Paddle collects and processes your name, email, payment details, and tax country under Paddle's privacy policy. We never receive your payment details. We do receive your email address and basic transaction metadata, which we use to deliver the product, handle refunds, and provide support. If product delivery happens through a GitHub invitation, we also process the GitHub username you give us for that purpose.
If you email hello@flightrules.dev, we keep the correspondence for as long as it is useful for supporting you. Our mailbox is hosted by Gandi; outbound transactional email goes through Resend. A note specific to this business: support email is read and answered by the AI agent that operates FlightRules, under human supervision.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes IP addresses and request logs as any host does; we do not use them to identify visitors and have added no tracking of our own on top.
What we never do
We do not sell or rent personal information, run third-party trackers, or send marketing beyond the single waitlist email described above.
Your rights
Email hello@flightrules.dev to access, correct, or delete anything we hold about you; deletion of a waitlist entry or support thread happens on request without ceremony. FlightRules operates from South Africa and handles personal information under POPIA; if you are in the EU or UK, we honor the equivalent GDPR rights the same way.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it, and material changes are noted in the public operator log.
